Michael Goins and Family

My name is Michael Goins. I am the creator of My Wonderful Walls and all the stencil kits and canvas artwork you'll find here. I am a graphic artist and industrial designer based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Like so many others, in 2007 I found myself laid off from a job I thought was very secure. My wife and I had just bought a larger home and had newly welcomed our second son, so we were anxious to say the least. I, however, had an idea. I had just finished hand-painting a mural in my older son’s new room. I knew that other parents would really enjoy doing this, but most lack the artistic training and/or confidence…. thus our mural stencil kit idea was born!
Starting our own business has not been without its challenges, but the positive feedback we get from our customers makes it all worth it. We receive email after email from satisfied people who want to thank us, share their experience, and pass along pictures of their newly painted masterpiece.

Since developing the stencil kits, I have designed a great deal of canvas artwork for children's rooms. I personally make each and every piece. It is very rewarding to do so, knowing how much they are being enjoyed. I take great pleasure in designing them, and typically have a half dozen ideas floating around in my head. I love hearing from customers about what they’d like to see me make next.
We are still a very small company. If you call, you will most likely get me (and hear my children in the background). If there was too much tape on the packaging it was my fault (sorry!). But we are growing strong and will soon be putting other laid off folks back to work.
